SmallDog Rescue is one of the few local rescue groups that takes in very ill and senior dogs. We believe these dogs, too, have a right to be rescued. If they must die, we will usher them over the Rainbow Bridge with dignity and compassion. Our hope, of course is to make them as healthy as possible, then help them find their forever homes.

Barbour is a Schnoodle – a Poodle and Scnhauzer mix. Barbour is 8 years old and weighs 13lbs. He was found as a stray, his coat completely matted. He has probably lived on his own for a while, fending for himself. He’s re-learning that people are here to help and care for him, but he’s coming around quickly. Barbour is a friendly boy. No small children, please.
Oxxford is a one-of-a-kind terrier mix! He is 3 years old and weighs 13lbs. Oxxford is a happy boy that loves life and is very, very lucky to be alive. He came to us the day before his kill date at an animal control. Oxxford loves people and affection! No small children for Oxxford

OXXFORD and BARBOUR both have HEARTWORMS. SmallDog Rescue is committed to providing all necessary care to get them both healthy so they can go to their forever homes. Treatment has started; it is expensive but necessary to save their lives. If you would like to make a donation to help cover the cost of heartworm treatment for these two, please mail your donation to Small Dog Rescue at P. O. Box 888570, Atlanta, GA 30356. For your convenience, we accept credit card donations through PayPal. Just click on the button below. Thank you!

Ellie Riggs is a sweet lovely little Doxie/Manchester Terrier mix. Rescued after spending several months in an animal control facility, Ellie now finds herself safe, but in need of some specialized care. Click here to read more!
Zanella is a beautiful girl with a vision problem. Click here to see how you can help change Zanella's quality of life. Zanella has had her surgery, but we are still trying to pay the vet bill... can you help?
