Azura Skye
mature female
Husky (Pure)

Azura Skye, like many senior dogs, found herself homeless when her owner could no longer care for her. A senior citizen got Azura as a puppy, but banished her to the yard when she grew up because she wasn't "cute" anymore. Additionally, no arrangements were made for her care when the time came that her guardian could no longer do so. When her guardian needed assisted care, the family decided Azura was too old to bother with. Fortunately for Azura, she was saved from death by a rescue group. She is a beautiful purebred Husky who needs socialization and a retirement home. If you are retired and interested in adopting a dog, please consider a dog who has earned retirement, as you have. Also, all pet owners should have an Advanced Directive for Pet Care for their pets, so that they will be taken care of if their guardians become unable to do so.
SmallDog Rescue considers Azura to be a permanent foster. Her foster family is committed to loving and caring for Azura for the rest of her life, however long that might be and SmallDog Rescue is committed to paying for her medical care, as expensive as it may become. If you would like to send a contribution to the care of Azura Skye, please send it to: Small Dog Rescue at P. O. Box 888570, Atlanta, GA 30356 for Azura Skye. For your convenience, we also accept credit card donations through PayPal. Just click on the button below. Thank you!

Captain Underpants
adult male
Chihuahua (Miniature Pinscher)
Needs a virtual foster!

This black and tan cutie is Captain Underpants! He is a Min Pin/Chihuahua mix that weighs 7lbs and is about 3-4 years old. He is a very energetic, playful boy that loves attention. Captain Underpants does have a serious heart murmur that prevents us from having him neutered (due to the strain of anethesia on his heart). He is not on medication as it wouldn't help in this situation. However, Captain has absolutely no idea that he is sick and runs around, happy and playful. He does fine with other dogs. He will need an adult-only home.
SmallDog Rescue considers Captain Underpants a permanent foster. His foster family is committed to loving and caring for Captain for the rest of his life, however long that might be and SmallDog Rescue is committed to paying for his medical care, as expensive as it may become. Justice
adult male
Llhas Apso (Mix)

So matted down upon intake, Justice had to be sedated in order to be shaved down completely. This smart, sweet boy, a 3 year old and about 23lbs., had been living on his own for quite some time, fending for himself the best that he could. Fortunately, he is coming around to "domestic" life and is trusting his foster mom more each and every day. Justice will need a quiet, adult only home. SmallDog Rescue now considers Justice to be a permanent foster dog. His foster family is committed to loving and caring for him, however long that might be and SmallDog Rescue is committed to paying for his medical care, as expensive as it may become.
